Comparison of Realignment Criteria: Golden Valley and Joshua Tree Councils and GSUSA
The boundaries of new councils were established in a very thoughtful process. Volunteers and staff all over the United States were invited to submit their ideas about what would make a successful Girl Scout Council. The National Board of Directors took all the input and consolidated it into 10 final criteria.
The National Criteria turned out to be very similar to what the volunteers in Golden Valley and Joshua Tree had proposed. Here is a chart that compares what we submitted and what was finally adopted as the final criteria.
